(subliminal cut을 이용해서 살해하는 장면)
광고 선전물을 주로 제작하는 박사가 자신의 물주를 subliminal cut을 이용해 살해한다는 내용입니다. 여기에 등장하는 용어 subliminal effect는 지금은 과학적 근거가 없는 것으로 밝혀졌지만, 이 당시에는 꽤 호응을 얻었나 봅니다.
실제로 아직도 많은 사람들이 많은 영화에 subliminal effect를 위해 subliminal message을 숨겼다고 믿고 있습니다. (예를 들면 라이온킹 같은 디즈니 에니메이션) 하지만 광고계에서는 subliminal advertising이 쓰이나 봅니다. (참고로 subliminal effect을 이용한 유튜브 영상물을 맨 아래 링크합니다.)
기발하고 참신한 소재, 그리고 살인범을 찾아내은 콜롬보의 재치 등 정말 재미있었던 에피였습니다.
